I replaced my Tele's neck pickup

And I replaced it with a Brent Mason approved choice.

A friend of mine has a 1975 Gibson Les Paul deluxe and he has replaced the mini Humbuckers with P-90's and I could take over the mini's for a very cool price.

I never was happy with the weak and thin sounding neck pickup of my Tele and today I decided to do something about it.

I took out the router and carefully modified the body and fitted the mini Humbucker, I am satisfied with the result, it sounds really warm and woody but with enough of that twang still intact.

Very cool Blazer.

I recently got to play a tele with a mini hb in the neck and a lefthanded (upside down) bridge it sounded great. The neck was really full and powerful. Not mushy at all.

If I wasn't so happy with my tele I'd do the same.

holy cow twang! that sounds like a dream axe to me! I have to admit I never liked the bridge pickup, I know, instead I fell in love with the neck pickup (not exactly in the flow of this thread) but the lefty bridge plate sounds awesome! I will, of course, try my idea of a gfs lipstick and see if I get what I want out of it, because of the chrome cover. But props to whoever leftied the bridge.
