sweet tones

Hey guys, just thought I'd throw this on here.

I was playing at praise band practice tonite, and found some really sweet tones from my guitar. I have a MIM Tele and a VOX AD15VT (as shown in signature) and I have been messing around with settings and tone ever since I got them.

For starters, I enjoy the UK(US?)70's setting on the amp. Can get a pretty clean sound with lower gain, and with the gain up, it can get pretty crunchy. Normally I would leave the Switch on middle or bridge position, with the tone knob on the brighter side, to mid. Volume, never past half.

Well tonite, I left the amp settings the same, but turned up the master, and turned down the volume on the Tele, probably to about a 4. I then switched to the neck position and slung the tone knob almost all the way to the warmer end. I LOVED the soudns I was getting. So warm and full, it was amazing. I was even getting a good quack out of it!

I'm glad your liking that Vox. I looked at the VoxAD30 and ended up buying a Tonelab. I think Vox is completely ruling the Modeling thing. Line6 may be more popular, but I think Vox is where its at.

It's amazing how many "new" tones you can get from messing with knobs, isn't it? :D
