Happy 7th Birthday TDPRI!

Seven years ago today I opened the TDPRI.

I had no idea what I was doing OR getting into, but I took that leap because the original TDP was suddenly shut down stranding hundreds of Tele lovers that had made that website their home.

A forum website is only as good as the members that visit and share their knowledge and good humor and that is why the TDPRI is a great website.

Thanks to everyone for 7 terrific years!

A LOT of people here have been VERY impressed with the way you have run this site.

Here's to the next 7 years! :D

Congrats, and thanks Paul...

I've been browsing the TDPRI for about a year, and been
a member for 4 months, and it has already become an
important part of my life !

You've achieved something great, Paul - THANKS ! :D

Seven years!

My goodness, is it really seven years since you took this over Paul? Time flies when you're having fun! I joined about six months before you got going. What a fabulous job you've done - and it just seems to get better and better.

I've been playing guitar since the days when ALL Telecasters were pre-CBS, but I think I've learnt more about guitars and guitar playing through this site in the last seven years than I did in the previous thirty eight!

Many thanks again for all your work, and here's to another seven years (at least) of the finest music site on the web.

Kindest regards
Rick J

Thank you

Thank you, Paul, and congrats from Switzerland.

A birthday gift to everyone : I send some swiss cheese (only the holes, really....; postage for all the members would be too much and touch on the funds for another Tele)

Twang on, keep on rocking and don't forget the blues

Hans

Congratulations

I do miss some of the old original TDP members but do have to say that of all the forums that I frequent on the net this is THE shining example of what human discourse is all about.

Congratulations Paul, thank you for all the effort you've put into this and here's wishing you (and us?) many more succesful years.

03/03/03?

Thanks Paul for all you do, and happy 7th birthday TDPRI!

Just for nostalgia, I was looking to see if I could find the first, or at least the oldest remaining, post. I can't find it.

I'm guessing that something happened around March 3, 2003 that drew a line in the sand and we only have information dating from then, based on that date as the oldest date of a member joining.

For those of us who haven't been here since the beginning, can someone point us to a brief history including what happened on or around 03/03/03? The end of some TDPRI ice age? Or a computer date math glitch based on three threes?!

Edit: oops, I see the oldest is 03/02/03 - scratch the date math theory.

Congratulations!

Every organization must have a strong leader to be effective. That'd be you, Paul. Thanks for caring about a bunch of guitar addicts.

Congratulations on seven years of Telecaster Web Heaven. And just for the occasion, I've made myself a custom avatar. And a little 'cake' for all of us :D

I'd like to thank Paul for first of all starting the site and for keeping it running in such a wonderful manner. So many forums I've seen and been a part of, have descended into *****y name calling and general abuse just because one member doesn't agree with another and doesn't acknowledge another's point of view, or even their right to have another point of view.

I'm happy to see, there's none of that here. Our love of Telecasters and in guitars and music in general, is the thing that keeps us coming back. Learning from the wise ones and newbies alike and passing on info to keep the wheel turning.

Thanks to all the members for making TDPRI what it is... the best forum on the net.

That's when we switched to this forum software. Before that the TDPRI was like the Weber boards. At the beginning of March a few people started testing the new system and then we all switched mid-month.
