How can I get that fat mid Tele tone?

It's hard to put into words, but how to get that sound you hear in, for example: "Worry about you" (Rolling Stones - Tatoo You) with that mid flavour... Any sugestions?
Thanks.

I found that the easiest way to do it is to have an el84 based amp. I never could get it right with fender amps.

Besides the Tele, what do you have for gear? A tube amp would help. Different preamp tubes will help fatten your sound along with a hotter bias to the power tubes.
Also how do you run your tone controls on the amp?
What effects, if any do you use? At least someone may be able to get you started or is that "Start Me Up"?

From what I've read, Keith is a big fan of tracking with small tweed amps. They'll have more mids.

Rolling off a little treble on the guitar should help too.
