Hey Guys!

Good afternoon to you all, I'm sorry about my location being Shangri-lah, I didn't read the FAQ before registering, I'll change it later.

As you can see this is my first post, I've been a tele freak since.. since.. well I can't recall. I'm Fifteen and have SERIOUSLY start taking guitar about one year ago, I'm playing blues and rock on my hohner st-59 (strat copy), And I wanted to get a better guitar.

The thing is, I don't have too much money to spare on a new guitar so 600-700 would be my price range (without going used, I live in Venezuela son buying in eBay is completely a pain. And the things here are VASTLY overpriced) I've been eyeballing the Jame Burton Std. Tele, but it has a 6-saddle bridge, wich is a bummer.
I also like the Muddy Waters Std. but it has rosewood neck, wich I don't like either. Could you please recommend me a tele wich has this features:
-In my price range
-Red or Blonde
-Maple neck
-3-saddle bridge
not really necessary but always nice:
-Upgraded pickups (vintage on the MW, texas on the Burton)

And that'd be pretty much it. Thank you very much.

Check out the Highway 1. Can be had with either maple or rosewood neck.

Also look at the Lite Ash tele:

The Classic 50s Telecaster is available in white blonde:

All of these meet your criteria, I think.

The James Burton Standard is a nice guitar with great neck.

If you want a three saddle bridge it is a easy mod and not expensive either , although I have no idea how much it would cost in Venezuela.

It might be a hard model to find though.

Here is pix of mine

Well, thanks, I thought of the three saddle mod today (duh). Actually i'm going to US to buy my guitar, how much does the JB tele cost, where can I find one and is it easy to install the vintage bridge plate? Thanks a lot.

You should call ahead to any place you plan to shop, the Burton is not a very common model. Street price (for just about all of these models) should be around $675 including a gig bag.

And replacing the bridge is really simple. It attaches to the body with 4 screws, and the pickup attaches to the bridge with 3 screws. Shouldn't take but a few minutes.

Also check out the Japanese Fenders. Maybe you could get a better deal going that way. They are really good quality. Check out some of the websites like Ishibashi.
