I just wanted to point out...

...that there are actually some double bound Teles I didn't buy!

Here are but a few I wanted but passed on:

With that in mind, do you all think it is OK if I buy one now? I'd really hate for you all to think "Oh no, Geir, not another one!" 8)

Geir :)

Enough is enough!

You must have no more room, Geir; so I'd hold them for you for, let's say, the next 50 years
No, don't mention it, Geir; shipping is on me...

Not until you post pics of the Tux

You are forbidden to buy any more guitars until we see some pictures of the completed Tux. (Unless I've missed something, you haven't posted them yet...)

Assuming you are talking about the bottom middle one. That is an original 1968, in Lake Placid Blue which was a custom colour back then.

It was offered at 11900 this time, but no bids. When I considered it it was 3000 dollars cheaper, and that was only half a year ago. Didn't buy it then, and certainly didn't buy it now...

Ouch, Dave, that was not the correct answer. Instead, imagine how nice that new Tele would look together with the Tux in those pictures! 8)

Also, I have not delayed posting those pics on purpose, or anything. I have my excuses prepared:
Excuse #1: The camera will be back for me to take pictures either tomorrow or Thursday. And then I will, depending on #2.
Excuse #2: The Tux is not finished yet. The chrome cover for the neck humbucker is missing. I don't know if I really want to take pictures before I have that.

Oh, and the little red 62RI I bought from you will have to go, to justify the new one. Sorry. Now you certainly won't let me buy it. Hey, you did sell it, so then so can I! :P

Geir :)

OK, OK... I agree with the humbucker cover idea. When will the cover be coming in?

That's fair. It's only right to let another enjoy the membership in the double-bound club.

Oh, don't take me too seriously. I've just been waiting for pictures for a while. No fair to enjoy that guitar all by yourself!

Yes! Yes! Yes! That is my dream guitar. Unfortunately, even at thousands less than what they ask for it it would still be a dream...

So I will stick to my modus operandi: Buy newer great guitars. That way I can afford more than one and still be able to pay the rent.

Geir :)

According to My Wife

When it's easier to list what you don't have than what you do have, you gots too much! Not my sentiments- but it's good for me to have a limit- I'd be working for my guitar habit like a junkie working for a fix...

Geir :)
Absolutely, Geir. And in no time at all, you will have a collection that is of great aesthetic and financial worth. :)

By the way, I just saw the DB Silver Sparkle beauty...if you have to cut one or two of your DBs from from the flock, so be it...that Silver Sparkle is worth it, in my opinion. (Now, then--which one or two DBs from your collection will you be parting with? Just curious )

Keep on finding those DBs, Geir--they're in good hands with you, buddy.

Joel

Thanks Joel! :D

I will be selling the MIJ CAR '62RI for sure. Not a bad guitar, it is just that it is the easiest to replace. It will go locally, to cash in on the rather inflated prices on Fenders over here. Then depending on my financial situation I may also part with the Buck Owens. One cool looking guitar, but doesn't get played much. As a matter of fact, none of them do, after I got the Tux...
