Worst grain matching ever?
Take a look at this tele on ebay. That is easily the worst grain matching I have seen.

I'm With Fuzzy
Aside from the obvious mismatched grain, looks like a cool axe. My buddy has an early 70's original Tele in ash that he stripped and re-did in natural from it's original see through white and not only did the grain not match- but the lower horn had a piece of wood..I'm looking for a word here..."grafted" onto it, I guess due to a knot or some other imperfection in that area. I think they did this alot particularly with solid color guitars. Great sounding guitar though.. and when he loaned it to me for a few weeks while my guit was in for a neck job,( yeah he is a great friend) the only thing people noticed was the good tone (besides my rotten playing...)

Well, my '75 Tele Custom isn't much better...
and I KNOW it's fully original--I know the original owner (who sold it to my stepfather, who in turn traded it to me for a 1971 Fender Precision Bass), and I have all the original paperwork.
It's a three-piece body, and I have to admit that it's not a great grain-matching job. (I don't know if you can tell from the photo below, which also shows my 2002 CIJ '50s Classic Tele.) But what a great-sounding, fantastic-playing guitar! http://community.webshots.com/s/imag...6VwFrWE_ph.jpg Joel |

The worst I've seen.....
...was a recent "butcher block" Korean G&L (can't recall if ASAT or Legacy). There was a lot of discussion about it at the G&L page a couple of months ago. Man that thing looked BAD. Grain goin' every which way!

The mighty Custom II (non-bound, that is...)
They're great guitars, be it in a slightly different Tele vein...
