The sound of an Orange and a Tele

I don't know if this will work or not but since so many people have asked how these sound together I thought I'd link to an excerpt from our rough mixes. Technically, it's an Esquire and an Orange... 1MB mp3

Billy-

Whoa! Daddy like!!

I take it that's "I Should". Is it spring of 2003 yet? Where can I get a copy?

That floats my boat bigtime!

What else is in the sound chain, por favor?

Seriously- email or PM me and let me know how/where/when I can buy a copy......

awesome

That sounded great! One of the guitarists in one my favorite bands, Acceptance (I'm even wearing a T-shirt as we speak), playes a Tele through an Orange head. While the musical styles are different, the tone is pretty similar to what you posted.

I really like this combo! No you got me GASing for an Orange head!

Oh yes!

That sounded really sweet! Great playing, and a very juicy sound. I've been GAS'ing for an Orange AD15/12 as a rehearsal/small gig amp for some time now. You just made it worse. Thanx a lot, Billy! :D

Wow... thanks guys! Actually, that's the 140 halfstack for rhythm and the 30 watt combo for the solo if I remember correctly. Only other thing in the chain is the cord going from the guitar to the amp...

Well, I thought we were further along than we are- I went over to Sheryl's house today to feed her dog while she's gone for the weekend and listened to the song that is the last to need vocals- and realised that while she is indeed done with the lead vocal track, there are four backing vocal tracks and only one of them has anything recorded so I guess she's in the middle of it. She told me yesterday that her goal was to finish all recording by the end of August so I guess we'll be having Spring in the Fall!

Sheryl's voice is amazing... wait 'til you hear that.... actually- I'll post a little clip of the backing vocals for her song, Long Cold Winter... let's see- where's Fetch? OK, all set... It's at:

Well, that clip pretty much makes it obvious that my search for the ideal OD pedal is a total waste of time!

Hmmm- South Austin Music just a little ways up the road here is supposed to be an Orange dealer. I think it's time for a road trip......

You will let us know when this puppy is available, yes???

that might result from the humbucker in the neck position in all of my Esquires... although those Lindy-rewound bridge pickups are mighty fat...

I know i was merely GASing for an Orange amp, but the oportunity came up to get one. I did!

My main amp (Budda Superdrive 80) went belly-up after what appears to be a power tube failure. Some components were fried and one of the caps blew up. So that amps gonna be in the shop for a while and I need to keep gigging...

So I searched all over the country for a new AD30 twin channel head. I found one at a great price and bought it. It'll be here thursday in time for the weekend.

The only downside is that I'm selling my Taylor guitar for the money...
