Ah the memories

My first guitar was a '59 toploader. My dad was a truck driver in the '60s and one of his stops was the old Fender factory in Fullerton. He was friendly with the employees and arranged for me to buy one a guitar from one of them. I sold it in 1973 to buy a Stratocaster. I've since beat myself up over it, but I still have the Strat.

The X-ray images are pretty cool. Was there a specific reason for getting them done or was it just for the hell of it? Either way they are great. The kind of thing you could hang on your wall.

What was that material that those see thru guitars was made out of? I think it might have been Dan Armstrong came out with those.
