I just watched a Soundgarden video on YouTube.com- it was all live, and Chris Cornell and the guitarist, whoever that is, were both using teles. Single coils, from what I can tell. If you know Soundgarden, you can see why I was surprised.

A buddy of mine does "tele shredding"... He's actually the guy I traded my pink paisley to over 12 years ago and it's been his main guitar ever since. His bands website is www.dearmom.info and his website is www.billbruce.com.

Go to the www.dearmom.info site and give the montage a listen and listen to the last song, it's only about 3 minutes long but you can hear him shred on the tele on that last song.
