I thought maybe someone had a video of Keith cracking someone's skull with his Tele, and going back to playing!

But he's just waving off some balloons though isn't he?

looks to me like he's fending off some guy

--kind of hard to see because of Mick's cape but it appears some guy rushes in from the left and struggles with Keef, who sort of deflects him with his tele and throws him off to the right. It happens pretty fast.

Thanks. I'll have to see if I can spot that.

Has anyone here heard the Roy Buchanon Tele self defence story? Maybe it was a myth, but I heard somewhere that he had to protect himself with a Tele out on the streets somewhere. I forget how the story went, or where it supposedly happened though.

That would be pretty humiliating..getting "telewhacked" by a guy everyone thinks is the living dead.

Keith said "I ain't dead yet, mate."

Watch it again and keep your eyes on Keith the whole time. It looks like he's practiced the move. Didn't Pete Townsend hit Abbie Hoffman with a guitar on stage?

Yeah, but I believe Pete used an SG.

Later....

That's really weird - it looks like the guy is coming from behind the stage. It looks like there is behind-the-stage seating, but usually there's a pretty big gap from crowd to stage. It's also odd that Keef just happens to be looking back there - then again, he does spend a lot of time playing to Charlie...

Another reason not to do H

Everyone I've seen get wacked over the head with a guitar gets KO'ed. That guy walked away unscathed. That was an anemic sorry swing... I guess he thought he was playing Crickett. No wonder he carries a S&W revolver when he walks around NYC.
