What Is A Good Selling Price For . . .
. . . this guitar? I need to sell a few guitars in order to purchase a new (or used) Strat. I just sold the Parker in the photo, and a neighbor down the street is looking at the old Yamaha acoustic as a beginner for his son. I still have the sunburst Tele in the photo to go . . .
Here is what I've done to it: I literally bought all the parts that I wanted to install if I were to make a Tele. It is my number one Tele, but cannot sell an American Standard that my wife bought for me, so this one will be the one to go. -It's a Partscaster -Sunburst double-bound body in excellent shape (no scratches a two or three minor dings that are not through the finish. Two pots that came out of it indicate 1976, but I honestly don't even know if it's truly a Fender -21 fret MIM (MN-serial number removed) maple neck with maple board - refinished with polyu, and slightly antiqued around the frets -rolled edges of neck - very smooth -Fender/Schaller tuners -Tusq nut -Callaham bridge with forward mount screw-Brass compensated saddles (not set in photos) -New neck plate -New control plate -New volume and tone pots -New dome knobs -4-way switch -Custom SHop Texas Specials pickups -Cream/black/cream 5-hole pickguard (matches aged body binding perfectly -Copper-shielded pickguard -9-42 GHS strings It intonates perfectly . . . sounds very Fender . . . low action neck. I'm not trying to pass it off as an antique or even a Fender . . . it is what it is. The "Bad" . . . -Again, I do not know what the body is, in fact, the holes for the neck were slightly off from the MIM neck, so the neck was plugged and redrilled to match the body mounts. It tightens up well and is perfectly aligned. -Input jack was "screwed" so I mounted an external receptacle like Gibsons . . . looks good -Underneath the pickguard, it is routed for a neck HB, and there are several mis-drilled pickguard holes - not from me - previous owner(s)??? None of the "bad" affect the playability, tone, or looks of the guitar. I used it for 4 hours yesterday, and it holds up and plays very well! Thanks in advance . . . ![]()

hmmm, I'll give you $60!
I'm no expert but you could probably get at least 200 for it. Probably closer to 3.

Worth more than you could get
Just guessing that you won't get what it's worth to you. This is a case of the whole being far greater than the sum of its parts. When pricing, it's probably worth less than the sum of its parts. Have you thought about a Squier Strat? The Yamaha alone would probably cover it...
If you decide to sell it on eBay, put a reserve on it near the top of the range you hope it sells in. (That's just a suggestion. I'd rather not sell something than sell it for less. W hen you're privatized, carrying costs don't hurt the way they hurt resellers with a bottom line.) Best of luck!
