"Greasebucket" Tone Control??

I just got a new Fender catalog, and maybe this isn't a new feature, but I've never heard of it before... the Greasebucket Tone Control..."loses highs without adding bass"?? Huh? Is there anything special about this tone control, or is it marketing?

It is different. Being better (or worse) is a judgement call I'm not going to make.

Fender has diagrams for both the old and the Greasebucket circuits on their website.

I've tried a few in stores, and it seems to work.

My new Hwy1 Strat came with Grease Bucket tone controls.

I didn't notice a difference and put the parts in a bag when I installed Fralin puckups in the guitar and followed a modified version of his blender pot wiring scheme.
each pot had a resistor and 2 capacitors.
