I have a few things on E-Bay
My Mom, has been diagnosed with breast cancer, so I'm going to be traveling back and forth between NY and Florida quite a bit in the coming weeks/months starting March 31. I have already booked several thousand dollars in airline tickets, car rentals , hotel rooms and house/dog sitter, so I'm selling off some gear, maybe all of it in the near future to help soften the blow financially.
The prognosis so far is pretty good, but the stress level is fairly high. Never really anticipated something lke this coming along (who does?). Thanks. SOLD |

Hang Tough!!!!!!!!!
They are doing some amazing things these days.
My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. Great stuff up for auction. You shouldn't have any problem selling them. Telejammer... |

She's 63 but if you saw her you would think she was in her 40's. If she lived here still it wouldn't be such a strain, but she's 2,000 miles away.
I'm not worried about the gear at all. I'm a little bummed because I finally got my tele collection where I wanted it, but honestly, it's just "stuff" easily replaced down the road. Given the options of taking money out of my savings or running up the credit cards, I prefer to sell off the wood. |

Bones, I asked about her age because the older the better. If she really was in her 40's, it would potentially be much more dire. Apparently women who are diagnosed with breast cancer post 50's do much better. My mother and mother-in-law both were diagnosed with breast cancer in their 60s, and both beat it and are doing fine. My mother is 77 and my M-I-L is 79. There is every reason to believe that your mom will do very well. In many cases, breast cancer is moving towards a treatable disease state,NOT a definite picture of doom by any means. So take heart.
You're right about the guitars, they are just possessions, not important in the scheme of things. Again, best of luck to your mom. |

Bones, you're a good son.
Your Mom will receive the best of care at Moffitt, it's an outstanding facility. Best wishes.

Sending best wishes
My mom also had a breast cancer diagnosis about 2 years ago. the doctors manage to removed it and everything is back to normal now. But I know how you feel at the moment. It wasn´t funny hearing those sad news.
Best wishes to you and your family. /Ubbe |
