Without holding it in my hands, seeing a picture, or hearing a soundclip, there isn't much I can say about it. In fact, how do we know you have one? ;)

Just kidding, enjoy your new guitar...

They are nice guitars. Good parts. Well made.

The important thing is what YOU think of it. If you are happy playing it then you have bought the right guitar.

Thats the same Tele I just got and I LOVE it!! I like it better than almost all my other guitars I've ever owned, but ask me in a few weeks after the "new" has wore off.

I think you got a GREAT first electric guitar and it's going to spoil you on your next (if there is a next) electric guitar purchase.

As far as the Vox, those are my favorite non-tube amps... they sound pretty darn good, and I have the VOX Tonelab that has some of the same tones in it as the AD30. I think they did a great job all around with modeling clean, low and high gain amps.

Congrats and welcome to the board, from a semi noo-b too

those lite ash tele's are pretty musch ranging from barely suffcient to absolutly terrific. I played a couple I I would buy in a heartbeat and a couple I wouldn't even use to light my fireplace.

I think you got the perfect setup for your first electric guitar. The Tele is simple, versatile, easy to handle with the small light body, and the vox should help you crank out a wide range of cool tones. The fact that YOU liked it is what matters the most. If you love your axe your playing will flourish. I bought my first guitar in 1983 and it's been like a good book I can't put down (an obsession actually:)). Congrats on the new guitar 8)

I love the light ash teles... I've got the VOX AD60VT and think it's fantastic! It makes my Squier Butterscotch Affinity do magic things. Play with all the settings, repeatedly, then start making your own custom sounds.

Good luck!

Re: My first telecaster (light ash).Opinions?

That's a cool guitar. I really like the pickups on those.

The Duncan Alnico IIs are great, especially with a maple fretboard. I have tried several that I liked, and a few that weren't set up well or were lemons, but they all sounded great.

Sounds like you got a good one, enjoy it! With the vox you can do some really cool things with it! Enjoy!
