Seen this 1982 '52 AV RI on ebay?
Wow this is really getting expensive.I recently asked John Page if he was surprised by the recent price escalations in the AVRI market and were they really worth the money....
He wasn't surprised due to the geography of their construction, but no they weren't worth it and nor indeed were they any better than those made later on.It was all about perceptions.Another guitar myth.....but I still find myself drawn to them.... 1982 on ebay....

I really don't think it will sell at that price ($3500 open). Recent sales have been $1200-1800. Of course there could be someone who falls off the turnip truck, signs on to eBay and bids without doing any homework.
As the owner of a 1982 57RI Strat, of course I'm kinda hoping for these guitars to continue to climb in collector appreciation! |
