Dallas Guitar Show April 21ts-23rd.
I am not sure yet whats going to be the celebration, but JK is trying to have the promoters involved in some kind of Blackguard Tele thing. Will let you know as soon as I know more. My plan is to come up driving from Austin with my friend Michael that very same Friday morning.

Me, too!

I just got my Blackguard book last Thurs. I can't say anything that hasn't been said already about this amazing book, except to offer my personal thanks, Nacho. Interestingly, I have a picture of you playing a '55 Tele, named "Lightning". My friend Steve sold you this guitar in Barcelona a few years ago. I can scan and e-mail you the picture, or even post it here, if you want...

lightning

thanks for the kind words! you have a pic of me and Lightning?????
I REALLY miss that guitar.
I bought it from Steve around 1996 I think. He bought from the original owner. I played that guitar many many nights and we used that guitar on the cover of our first album and in the Tshirt logo we had for the band. I traded 4-5 years later to get a clean broadcaster and I kinda regretted it ever since.
id like to see that pic if you post it here but please also email it to me at nacho@treshombres.com
Steve told me the original owner (Lightning) had a barber shop and he had my pic with the guitar in the shop. I think he used that guitar to play with Little Richard and some other real pioneer rockers. I also gave him some T shirts I think a couple years later when we met again in Barcelona...
I hope Steve is doing alright I sent him a message after Catrina but never heard back..
cheers

Steve is doing great. His home was without power for about 2-1/2 months, but he didn't flood. The shop is doing pretty well, all things considered. When I showed him my Blackguard book, he recognized you immediately, and gave me the pic of you and Lightning. The guitar world is a small one...

Come on down, Brian. It should be fun. And it would be great to meet you in person, too.
