I think I'll need to see it twice. Once to see the Tele's and again to watch the film itself. 8)

Yeah i saw it yesterday and totally agree- great film, great gear, great music. That phoenix guy was pretty good as well, at the singing as well as acting.

I too just saw it the other day and was very impressed with the whole movie. Reese Witherspoon was outstanding in her portrayal of June Carter. I'd say it's even Oscar worthy. I did have a little trouble with the closeup shots of Joaquin Phoenix. His hairlip thingy bothered me. But, he did capture Johnny's spirit in the film and I do give him credit for his singing.

If you ain't seen it - DO IT!

Haven't been able to get the tunes out of my head since I saw the film.

Awesome film - great music, great job by the actors, great story, and.... Telecaster heaven! I knew I was in for a treat the moment he walked into the German music store and hanging there, next to a Framus archtop, was THE most beautiful..... well, I don't want to spoil the film for those who haven't seen it yet.

I haven't enjoyed a film so much in a long time.

it started in germany this weekend. me and my wife had a look. very good movie. and the sound is so good. very well produced. and all the instruments are choosen with great care. plus the story is good too, love and grief and all. the audience was way mixed: very young teens to very old folks. thats a good sign for me. a fine film.

The music that REALLY gets me is at the very start at the prison, and then when they show him at Folsem before he starts singing. That tele and sound is just outstanding. 8)

That scene gave me goosebumps. Surreal.

I'm amazed by what a great job they did with this film. Will definitely pick up the DVD as soon as it hits stores.

That film is awesome! I especially liked the scene where they were all sitting around drunk jamming with two or three Teles and tweed Fenders... Great stuff!

I also had a laugh in the scene where Waylon (Shooter) is at Johnny's place and they cut his phone connection because he's so broke... 8)

I think it will definitely compete for Best Actor and Best Actress. I was ok with the singing (Phoenix and Witherspoon) until the close of the movie when Long Legged Guitar Pickin' Man kicks in and you know you're going to hear the real deal. I had to wipe away a manly tear at that point, realizing that these two incredible people are no longer with us.

I saw it Saturday night. Loved it. Apparently so did everyone else in the theatre. For the first time, I'd ever witnessed thunderous applause from the audience.
