Hokey Smokes, an E series!

It just gets better and better

Prized E Series Telecaster

Is this guy really that misinformed, or does he just think everyone else is?

I've said it before, I'll say it again...you can't make up stuff this good.

Am Std

I once had an '88 american standard tele that was terrific.
I would like another one someday.
However they are not rare.
I wonder if his auction hype will pay off?

I sent him a note to see if he would clarify this issue. Wonder if he will post my question or even respond to me.
Good news is I now own an "N" series and a "Z" series. Guess their value just went up!

I sent him a very polite note yesterday informing him what the "E" actually meant. I've not heard anything back.

You have a "Z" and an "N" series?? Dude! You gotta buy this "E" series, then you'll have ZEN!!

Conversely, 60s Teles were made for an entire decade, 10 whole years! Now I suppose we need to look at production numbers, but I think we're dangerously close to concluding that this E9 Tele is worth more than a 60s Tele. Makes every bit as much sense as the Buffalo Theory.

Wow, whoulda thunk??

Fake!

I'll bet thats one of those fake E's thats been circulating lately. A true E series guitar will float on air and that first picture clearly shows that the guy is holding it up by the strap.

So here is my question and the sellers response;

Question -
Quote:
"Hi. What is an E series? I am to understand the E stands for the first letter of the decade and the next number, in your case 9, is the year. Hence I think this is just an 89 standard Fender Telecaster. Have you verified an E series production on the Fender web site? It is a nice looking Tele and I would like to bid but have these questions. Thanks."
Response -
Quote:
"Hello,
Thank you for your inquiry. I asked and you are right about the E series info. It is an original and excellent Fender guitar!"
Wonder if this guys uses his "E" series to tapdance along to?!?!?!?! Is is me or does he really know how to NOT answer a question. At least he did post this.
