I got my AV 52 RI Wednesday!

It arrived from MF on Wednesday. It looks and sounds great. It weighed in at 7.5 lbs accourding to my Pelouze digital scale. I have walked around the house for the past two days playing it unplugged from the time I get done with the evening chores until the time I go to bed.

I was really surprised at how good it felt straight out of the box. No fretting out anywhere. As I have read and been told, the neck is pretty sticky, but I'm sure that will pass. I will probably rewire it so I have that extra option, but I'm in no hurry. Finally, ther was a tiny ding where it looked like a tech let his screwdriver slip behind the bridge. No big deal... All in all, I'm real happy with the guitar. I'll try to post a pic one of these days.

Congrats to you Biglebowski41 !

I got mine half a year ago, and I can assure you that you
have some great time ahead of you !
You will actually love it more and more, and the stickyness WILL dissapear (or you get used to it ?).

It was also quite lightweight - mine is 7.78 lbs, but still
feels comfortable.

But I guess you will eventually rewire it - better with three great tones than two great and one "useless".....
The two PUPs together is pure magic ! :D

I have not gotten used to the back of the neck and am thinking about using some 0000 steel wool to make it more of a mate finish. I bought the guitar to play not as an historical piece.
