Help I.D. Fender Japanese Tele

I need some help---there's no serial number on the neck plate, but the body, where the neck attaches says: TLC-62 BEX.
It's a sunburst 62 reissue, but that's all I can tell---any help?
Was the for export?

Its a bound 62ri Tele. New $510 + shipping
