Oh No - bought and Ibanez - My Tele's are crying
I went to my local music store to look at the new MIM std Tele's and walked out of the store with an Ibanez RG 321. For $250, it was hard to resist since it sounded and played great. The Teles were almost $150, but didn't sound or played as good.
Never in my life would I have ever thought to buy and Ibanez, but it sounded so good and played great that I made that gamble. I guess I didn't consider who plays Ibanez or how it looks just like what I heard and felt. Yes, I my other 2 Tele's are crying at the site of the Ibanez. |

I never though I would own an Ibanez either, but I have owned a few over the last 5 years. They are really well made guitars for a great price.
I am 29 now which means both Hair Metal and Grunge were the music of my generations. I remember walking into music stores and hearing people wanking on Ibanez's, and I rememeber everyone hating them hah. It's actually all the wanking that gave me a distaste of them for years. The really crazy thing is it's 15 years later and now whenI go into music stores, it's back to little kids wanking on Ibanez's. 'Shredding' has returned. |

Yeah - I figure if it sounds good...play it
I am in my 50's and never thought I would pick up a guitar that has a metal following. I like metal, but my style is classis rock and country. But this 321 sounds good for all music styles and it's very easy to play. I also like the fixed bridge
Yes, it's no Tele but it's nice to have something different. I still am looking forward to try a KOA Tele. |

They're not quite my style, but I always thought those looked great for the price. I've picked a few up and thought they felt really good as well.
Ibanez makes some great guitars. When I first started playing guitar in the early 90's, I had a pointy Ibanez, and it was a fantastic guitar for that time and style I was into. I now have a Japanese made Ibanez AS-193. It's the best 335 clone I've ever played, and nearly as good as the real thing for less than half the price. |

I still have the Ibanez RG550 I bought back in the mid 80's. It's a nice guitar, but the neck feels like a fretboard with no *neck* to me now. It's a pretty versatile guitar, but I use a lot of *neck trem*, and I always feel like I could just snap those wizard necks in half!
