He's one cool player! After watching the whole double DVD of live Led Zeppelin I must say that Jimmy's sound wasn't perfect but his licks were! Check it out! Lotsa Tele content as well...

Thanks for the heads up. I will definitely check that out. As much as I used to worship Zeppelin, I always looked at Page's work as sloppy (in a musical genius sort of way). Most of the licks I know (which isn't very many) came from him and Angus (no last name required).

I thought the same thing about Tony Iommi's playing in the early 70's, but I saw his live a few years ago and he was as tight and precise as anyone 1/2 or 1/3 his age.

Maybe that was just the accepted way to play back then?

I'm looking forward to the DVD!
