looking pretty cool..must have been alot of hard work...

a couple of suggestions that i'd like to see from a brent mason website:

1) a full discography: a listing of albums that he appears on. the old site had a link for a discography, but it came up empty. i understand this is probably too huge a task to take on, but it would make it easier to go buy the albums mr. mason has appeared on.

2) gear: an in depth explanation of his modded out tele. and pedal board. that would be pretty sweet.

3) tabs: maybe a link to some brent related tabs or power tabs.

like i said the site looks pretty dang sweet, good intro video. but just a couple of suggestions.

On the bio, you might want to fix the spelling error: "World-renewed guitarist?"

Should be "World-renowned guitarist"

Otherwise it's pretty good but proof-reading is a must. Spell-check doesn't catch everything.

If that's your site work, it's very nice!

Really enjoyed the pictures, you'll need to upload some more!

Thanks all...
It's Brent's site -- I do a bit of work for him, including pedal mods/repairs, interview, and website upkeep.

The old flash intro is still available, I don't have it linked to the new site, but I could.

Proofreading help is welcome, it is proofread but it is easy to miss something, especially after looking at it so much.

I have tons and tons of gear photos, but only a few pics with Brent in them. The next Players gig I will get more for the site, as well as some more downloadable video if possible.

I'll ask Brent about these suggestions, we may be able to get some tab up as well.

Thanks,
Brian

No, those are clips taken from the "players" cd -- that's Brent singing too! He's a great singer as well. :)

As I understand, the new album will most likely be self released, so I *might* be able to get an advanced preview of a track at some point. :)

Also: I believe all spelling errors fixed.

I haven't even looked at it yet. Thanks for noticing that typo Pete. BUT - THE CORRECT SPELLING IS:

world-reknowned. (with a k)

I *think* I found my copy at amazon.com. Also, if you ever get a chance, you simply MUST go see the players do their live gig at 3rd and lindsley in nashville ... very very amazing. Even cooler because it is a very intimate setting, not a bad seat in the club! Plenty of time to talk to the guys as well between sets.

Take care,
Brian

It is? That's news to me.

I did catch a couple more, though -

"Then in walk Chet himself! He says at the table closest to the stage and just watched me play."

I believe it should be "stays at the table". And "walk" should be plural (or past tense).

Great work!

Has Brent's Hot Licks video been re-released on DVD yet? I know they re-did Gatton's 2 Hot Licks videos.

that would be awesome! i love the Players DVD but i want to see the studio guys rock. i don't really need to see "pop stars". but i guess they were trying to hit a wider audience than just musician geeks...

...and +1 on the asking for the DVD of Mr. Mason's Hot Licks tape. Please, Please, Please....there's an empty hole next to my Danny Gatton Hot Licks waiting for it~~~~~~

Not yet -- there are still some legal matters that have not been cleared up yet I believe. BWG would know about this more than me though. :)

New additions coming to the site:
-some more video clips to download
-Newsletter sign up for those that want first dibs/signed copies etc.
-Bio is being updated currently
-more pictures to be added on a continuous basis

Basically, being that I'm THE biggest fan (seriously! I've got the card to prove it! ) I will be updating and maintaining the site for Brent. That means if you have pics/content/etc. and want to contribute, let me know. You can pm or email me.

Thanks,
Brian

Does Brent ever "tour"?

I remember looking for tour dates on his earlier website, and on this one it doesn't have any dates. Can one see him live?

Yes, I just updated the bio part which has where to find dates.

I don't think so...I'll look through my archives and post some more pics on the site in a day or two.

Thanks,

I'm sick

Man, I've been playing for over 30 years, and this makes me feel like a 7 year old again.
How in the world do you learn how to play like that??
I've been listening to Johnny Hiland, too. These guys are nuts.
I've been busting my butt for the last 2 years, but I'm not even close to pickin like that.
