I LOVE mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As neck pup fan, it completely knocked my socks off as to how versatile it is.

My Esquire was shown at the NAMM show last year. My buddy Jazzabilly and I bought the black and the white show models, and they are now our main guitars. We even named the band after them.

I've got a sunburst one, but the color doesn't really matter. To my ears, it delivers that classic Tele/Esquire tone, without any mods. If my one is a true example, there's a few "fit and finish" niggles, but nothing that can't be put right easily, and the the playability and sound is definitely "there!"

Dale,

I am in my first day of ownership of a White Blonde '50s Esquire. I spent a few hours this evening playing it and let me tell you, WOW! I didn't want to put it down!

Here is a pic of it in a Fender Black Tweed hardshell case alongside my '52 RI that I purchased on Dec. 10th.

If you will enjoy and admire your '50s Esquire even half as much as I am mine, I'm certian you'll be overjoyed to own it. Congrats on your order and post those pics when it arrives along with your sentiments of playing it.

That's not fair! Please don't make me choose. :x

I know, I'll take the 5th . But I will say this much. I had owned a '00 '52RI that I bought new and was a great guitar that I foolishly sold a few years back, and longed for another ever since. I recently (12/10) bought this '05 52RI to fill that void. But I'll say this after putting a few hours on the new '50s Esquire today; It's an awesome guitar and has a feel and sound that absolutely blows me away.

Dennis I have a 83 fender toploader usa tele that I like alot 1968 gibson les paul custom my Dad bought for me when I was only 14 Im 51 now so I would be very hard pressed to JUST PICK ONE, But the other day I was playing my les paul on my new victoria 45410 on the bright channal and I swear its sounded very close to a hard driving tele sound, But this amp is a GREAT AMP!!! Thank for your advice Dale Hamon

I have a 50's Classic Esquire Blondie a friend of mine Brian Haupt let me take pics of. I played it for a weekend 5 hours first sitting couldnt put it down.

I was lucky he sold it to me cause its perfect in every way and it hasnt even been setup yet.

The strings still sound good after 3 months.

I will never sell this one.

I have a sunburst Esquire, and it's pretty much my main gigging guitar now. It just fits me. My Gretsch stays on the stand until it's time for "Rebel Rouser".

My 50's Classic Esquire is better than both my previous 50's Classics 2 pickup models and the 1988 52ri I had.

Its also better than the JD Tele and the 60's Classic Tele I once had.

Besides Haggards 51 Nocaster I got to work on in 1978 its the best Tele I have ever played.

All the 50's Teles were made by Mexican workers also.

Mines completly stock so far.

I do have a trick pickup to put in it but havent got around to it yet it sounds real good stock.

The bridge is just like a vintage Tele. 3 steel saddles.

Mark, this must be a consistant fact in these Esquires. Before receiving the 50's Esquire (which needs nothing done to it's current set-up), I had played two others weeks before that were on display and both were set-up perfectly. I had asked the if they had been set-up at the shop where they were for sale and I was told that is exactly how they came out of the box. So your observation seems to hold true for how others are coming out of the factory.

No problem. It was Mark though they made me recall just how good the other set-ups were on the other Esquires I have tried. And as Mark and others have cited, the quality on the MIMs have really reached new heights in workmanship and care out of the factory...

Here are the 2 NAMM Esquires in action. I made a wrapping paper pickguard for mine to celebrate the holiday season.

Ya Fender is doing a great job on these new Esquires they also seem to be lighter in weight than the 50's Classics.

I've been playing the new Esquire on and off all day today. I can't say enough good things about it. It's so pleasurable to play, I'm even cracking open my study books to practice some new licks. If the Esquire is a motivation for me to practice more often and longer, then I'll just have to oblige it and play :D .

Matt, Something about your Esquire in Sunburst that makes it look dashing. Very nice. I'm beginning to find out myself as you already have why this could be one's main guitar.

I actually went to the store to buy a blonde one, but it had already been sold. Good thing too, because they were just pulling this one out of the box to put up. It never even got a price tag. Some guitars you just bond with immediately.
