Shellacing tweed case??
I used the mixture of 1/2 Bullseye amber shellac and one half denatured alcohol to do a tweed Reissue Bassman and it came out great.
Has anybody used this on a tweed Fender case? How did it turn out? |

I've heard that it's harder to do a case, because the cardboard of the case absorbs differently than the wood of an amp. Not a lot of success stories.

Mine's a knock off copy I got with my tele, but I varathaned it good and thick with some "glamor glitter" in the mix. It soaked most of it up and I think it's more durable.
Like with the amp covers, there's a reason they went away from it. It wasn't very durable. :) EJL
