My copy arrived yesterday and all I can say is what a masterpiece! Nacho all I can say at this point is Thankyou for all you efforts and sharing with all of us your passion of the Telecaster. You sure made Leo (and us) very happy.
Fuzzy, thanks for all your years of sharing and helping all of us with this wonderful piece of steel and wood.... |

What a great statement, Fuzzy.
I must tell you that you have been the one constant presence on this board that probably made me re-join the fold once more after a long spell away. Then - as I type this and look hopefully for the UPS truck to come rolling down my road -- I have to say that Nacho and his book seem by all accounts to be the distilled essence of what this board is all about. My thanks to both of you (and others of course) for indeed making this the best place on the 'Net. |

I agree with Ole Fuzzy. The book surpassed my expectations. While I have seen some fantantic books on guitars, with great pictures, I have never seen any book concentrate on the fine details of a guitar as much as Nacho has. He has done an outstanding job. The exceptional photography makes this book a work of art, and the "Nitty Gritty" pretty much satisfies any question a person might have.
P.S. Nacho, you should make some of those photos available as limited edition prints! |

I received my copy today. What a thrill it was just opening the box, then the tissue paper, THEN .... I won't say anymore, in case some others will be as surprised with the cover as I was. I was completely breathless, leafing through, looking at those gorgeous photos. My gosh, what a treasure this book is! Having read comments from others that the book is expensive, all I have to say is, I would GLADLY pay twice the price. I may never own a (lefty) "blackguard", but this wonderful book is just like "being there"!
Thanks Nacho, and Feliz Navidad.

What's keeping me from ordering it right now is the coffee table I'll have to buy for the book!
I'll just factor the book's cost (sounds like a bargain to me at under a 100 bucks) into the new furniture budget! Merry Christmas Fuzzy, Mik

Mik: LOL yes you will need a coffee table fo rthis book. it's HUGE. a very big book. and its incredible.
Fuzzy, man you got it so right. The detail in the photos is just superb. I mean every nick and finish crack, every bruise. every detail just leaps out at you when you see this book. unbelievable. BEEZ: you make a very good suggestion. Maybe limited edition poster-size prints could be down the line. It would be difficult to figure out which one to do. so much good stuff. I'd be totally down for one.

I totally agree Fuzz....
I just got mine today. I checked out John Belands when we were in the studio and couldn't wait to get mine and it's well worth the wait. Beautiful beautiful book! The only thing we need now is some Telecaster posters of this quality!
Thanks Nacho! Johnny Isaacs

Unbelievable!
This book defies description. If you haven't ordered yours yet, what are you waiting for? Someday you will be saying "I remember when I could have bought The Blackguard for $85 + PH." As they trade for $500 plus on eBay.

Mine showed up today, and it's really a six-stars-out-of-five affair. Brilliant job, Nacho. When's volume II due?

this board has been a great inspiration for the book work and the spark for endless phone conversations with Fuzzy and some other great folks around here that I proudly call my friends today.
There was one thing Fuzzy said when we last talked about it "as I was browsing through it, I just got the feeling the book was made especially for me, for each and everyone of us Tele lovers out there". Now thats a great achievement I think! :D Thanks all! nb |

Bad news: I got lazy and put off ordering my copy of the book.
Good news: I just won a copy in the drawing today. Bad news: I'm in London. Good news: They'll ship it here. Bad news: I don't have room to pack it when I move back home to California. Good news: They can ship it to my mother-in-law, who lives 20 minutes from me back home. Bad news: That means I won't get to read it for months yet. I tell ya, it's been an emotional rollercoaster ride. |

You know Ole Fuzzy is serious...
...when he doesn't post in "Fuzzyspeak" and actually posts in English. It speaks volumes to the respect Ole Fuzzy has for those whom he honors by posting in English.
