'52 reissue Telecaster signed by Bruce Springsteen up for bid?

Here it is: https://www.charitybuzz.com/auctions...59015?ref=area

I saw it pop up on Bruce's facebook fan page.

It said "You can support the fight against hunger: Bid on an American made, 1952 reissued butterscotch Fender Guitar, signed by Bruce especially for WhyHunger and other great Bruce items at http://ow.ly/lODgC. Auction closes on June 13!"

What do you all think :)

I think if Brucie wants to fight world hunger, he oughta just write 'em a check, which of course would have his signature on it.

He may have donated too I dunno ,but it's probably a PR stunt. I mean it can't hurt to look good; though he may be doing it just because he cares. Who knows I'm not him, but that sure is a nice looking Tele with a signature I wouldn't mind having on it :)

The bidding is at 26 Grand just now! I wonder if maybe that is one of those type of bars like the Hard Rock Cafe theme pubs bidding? tax write off for them anyway. Surely not many ordinary Boss fans have that kind of cash to spend on a autograph

Bingo!

True story: My mate had a Wayne's World Strat signed by Dana Carvey and Mike Myers. He rubbed off the signatures, and now he's left with a '62 Reissue Strat in Olympic White!

Thanks,

Thanks,
I would have done the same. Honestly can't think of many people I would allow to sign any of my guitars. Maybe, if he was still alive, Johnny Cash.

I would have loved to have Leo Fender sign the back of the headstock of my '56 but as he's gone, nobody else is getting near it with a magic marker..

Is that the new reissue case with red lining?
