There is a blues festival in a small village south of Bergen this weekend. I won't be able to go there, but it sure would have been fun: Tomorrow features among others Peter Green and Johnny Winter, and on Saturday The Original Blues Brother Band with Steve Cropper, Matt "Guitar" Murphy and the rest! Plus a long list of other artists.

Unfortunately, they didn't advertise much, so I learned about it too late to change my plans.

Apparently they first booked Johnny Winter, but he seems to have a bad habit of cancelling. So they went to Peter Green who was there a couple of years back, and he said "Sure, I'd love to come back again". Then Johnny Winter changed his mind, and the arrangers said "We'll take them both!" 8)

To see this line-up in one weekend would be great,I knew Peter green was doing his thing again through a tv story a few years back,glad to hear Johnny winter is still getting on with it,Matt -guitar- murphy also,Steve cropper is for me one of the tele greats.
Sorry to hear you will miss it,but it was good to hear your news.
