Holland TDPRI - let's have a drink or something

OK, so the summer jam didn't work out. Now it's coming into winter and we still haven't got together. I know it's difficult to organize a jam, but maybe we could all just meet up somewhere, have a beer and talk Tele's. We could call it the NL-TDPRI Christmas party....

I second that. I was born in Duisburg so I'm often round that way. Any chance of meeting in Nijmegen? :D

I'm not Dutch but my wife's family is and I have to say that you Dutch are a freindly bunch - always planning a TDPRI get together. It's heart-warming to see.

I'll go get myself a Leffe anyway! :)

Hey, natsteel! That's cool. I wouldn't mind meeting up somewhere else though. As long as there's plenty of Kerstbok around... :D

me.... arrange something?

sorry boys, I'm the world's worst arranger of social functions. I leave all that stuff to the missus. But I like to get together with friends and Tele players whenever possible, so:

I just saw a post from Vincent about arranging a winter jam for sometime in January or February. Maybe we should all work together on that idea? Check out his post (I would put a link here, but I don't know how).

Sounds

like a good idea. I'll go anywhere if there's bear involved.
I totally missed this thread when I started the Jam one.
Seems the only organizing that must be done is picking a time and place....

Hey you Dutchies!

(and Germans, and expat Americans, and whatnot ...)

Like Vincent said, the idea is for a jam in Jan/February. But I'm always bait for a nice cool drink! Nijmegen was suggested, which is fine with me. Since Jon says he is not too good at keeping the appointment calender, let me try and suggest a date: maybe Wednesday December 28th (this is under the assumption that most people will not be working between X-mas and New Year).

Who knows a nice bar?

that is right

I am not at work between christmas and newyear. But, I'm off for a couple of days to france (get me some wine) so I wont be able to make it, unless we pick a bar in Beaune.... So have fun, I will be missed :D

let's go with Vince

France sounds like fun... we can all ride along with Vincent and stop at the first bar we see. Or maybe somewhere else... where the heck is Nijmegen - I have to get out my road map and check this out... December 28 sounds good, if we can get a few people together. If we can't get a few TDPRIers together - WE SUCK!

Just 80-something kilometers from your place Jon, south of Arnhem, very close to Kleve, which is why it is so convenient for our German TDPRI brothers to visit.

Although I also like that idea of shacking up with Vincent in France

So far, we've got jhundt, natsteel, Hollandcaster, teletin and eddiewagner.

Let me call a friend and try to find a good bar in Nijmegen; it's anice little university town, lots of 'brown bars' (bruine kroegen), and also some modern grand café type of establishments ...

Great... Now you plan a meeting in Nijmegen because I suggested that but I will actually be in Zeeland over the holidays with my parents. Damn!
