So Cal TDPRI Jam Photos - CAMERA STOLEN!

At the So Cal jam last week my wife Becca took several photos. We're vacationing in Kauai, Hawaii at the moment, and our plan was to edit the photos and post them this week.

I played a gig at a bar on the north shore with a local band last night (good buddies of mine, The Surf Jones Band.......I play with them whenever I'm on the island). Becca had her camera with her. She left it at her table for five minutes while she danced. When she came back to the table it was gone. OK........ it wasn't the smartest thing to leave it unattended but it wasn't in plain sight........someone had to have been watching her to notice where she put it.

I am so pissed off.......some creep stole her camera, and along with it the TDPRI jam shots (as well as a ton of vacation photos).

Why do people have to be such jerks?

Just once, I'd like to catch someone in the act!!

I live in Los Angeles, and have had 4 car stereos ripped out of my dash, along with the broken glass, during the last 15 years.

On top of that, some moron put a dent in my brand new Dodge Quadcab while I parked it at a grocery store, this past summer.

I'm tellin ya, if I ever catch a person trying to steal from me, I'm takin out the anger of all those instances out on that poor fool. He's getting a '4 car stereo/dented truck' beating!!!

Sorry to hear it, Joe...

Kauai is gorgeous. Where are you staying? The antidote to the camera loss is dinner overlooking Hanalei Bay at the Princeville Resort. Stunning view. I have a friend who lives in a rented house overlooking the Bay. He sells real estate every now and then. The rest of the time is spent surfing or making boards; one deal pays for a lots of waves.

That's terrible....

Sorry to hear it, Joe. We had the best time in Kauai and the people could not have been nicer. I did hear about the increased crime rate for "snatchable" stuff because of the meth use down there. Then again, it might have been your '53 that was taken, but little solace I'm sure. When my son gets around to sending the photos he took I'll forward to you.

Of course, you can always come back through LA and we'll play some more and take some more photos. Hope you and Becca enjoy the rest of the trip, though. I'm really jealoooooooous.............;-)

I'm really sorry to hear that Joe. Hope the rest of your Island Paradise trip is better.

Yeah it bites when someone does that.

Is there a pawn shop down there? Might want to check it out and see if you can find your camera in one. At min, you can get your pictures back... hopefully the camera too with some help from the police. report it stolen of course.

Sorry to hear.

Bummer, Joe.

Sorry to hear about the incident. As Essex Boy wrote, it is the way of the world. We had some stuff taken from our home while visiting New Orleans several years ago. LAPD found a few items at a nearby pawn shop shortly after we got back; we were able to retrieve them at no cost. (ashtray makes a good point, not that you want to spend your vacation looking in on pawn shops... )
