MP3 original Tune Tele' and Steel

Here's a tune I wrote which started out as a practice excercise for both the Steel and the telecaster, playing the same licks on both instruments. I have actually turned this into a Steel Guitar Learning course where I have been fortunate to sell a bunch recently.

It's called Pickin' on E's and it is a copyrighted tune.

As you will hear I am a Country boy..but I do like playing Blues and Rock tunes as well.

The tune features the Tele' and the Steel, all parts recorded direct into a Boss BR8 and mixed back to the PC.

Pickin' on E's

lo fidelity mp3

It's a 1989/52RI Tele' and a Carter D10 Steel
(no picks with the Tele')

thanks
tp

That's some sweet stuff, got any more? Something about low-fi that complements a Tele! Nice playing.

Lo Fi ...

Thanks for the kind words fellow Tele'-mites...

Yes I have a few more tunes which I will offer out to post shortly.

A note about the Lo Fi format..

Initially I record all tunes to my PC as stereo 16 bit wave's at 44.1 khz from the BR8 ,then burn to CD. The digital BR8 records in 16 bit format as well so the tune was recorded in the highest quality I could obtain here at home without having a stand-alone CD burner which would have allowed an all digital domain transfer and burn.

The uploaded MP3 is in a lower Lo Fi format so folks could download it and play it without any difficulty. I think the file size is around 350kb. Tone does suffer .

Anyway, thanks all for listening.

a long time...

Well I hate to have to admit this but I've been playing probably longer than many here on this forum have been living !

Maybe not as long as others I imagine..I ain't THAT old ,
but I did hang out on 48th street in NYC thru much of the 60's..( British Invasion on ) that initself was a life experience...sure glad I didn't miss that..I bought lots of stuff from Henry @ Manny's.

Been playing 6 string since the earliest 60's, Steel since the mid 70s' but took off about 12 years thru the 90's.( steel only ).

played Tele's continuously thru-out my tenure..( Strats too) whatever they are...

I own 1 electric now, the 1989/52 RI, and it is the best Tele' I have ever owned hands down..

happy wednesday

tp ( not Tim )
