Vintage Tele bridge

I am going to buy a fender vintage tele bridge plate from MF. It's the 7.99 one! and my questions are, Does the bridge come with mounting screws? And is the bridge plate magnetic or not?

I will be replacing the Wilkinson bridge that came stock on my Hamer T-51.

No screws. It's magnetic. Sounds pretty darn good with the Glendale brass saddles.

Have you figured out whether the bridge that's on the guitar now has the same pattern and number of holes, for the mounting screws and for the string-through holes?

You already know now the plate doesn't come with screws.

If the ones from the old bridge aren't the right type and you're looking for the right spec screws...

You can get them from guitarpartsresource. The "wood screw" type like the Fender 001-8371-049 and the ones that begin with GS 0063 look like the right type. The ones with the part number 002-1373-049 are threaded all the way to the top like sheet metal screws, they will work too. When I couldn't find any of the wood screw type locally and I wanted to get a bridge on the same day, I used the sheet metal type, but if you're going to use them, unless you want the chrome finish you can get them from a local hardware store.

My '98 Squier Standard with a thick L-shaped bridge plate had screws that were both longer and larger in diameter, than the ones that were right for this replacement plate. The old screw holes were in the incorrect location for this replacement bridge plate so I filled and drilled new ones.

The bridge is ferrous, it will be attracted to a magnet.

Thanks guys

From all my research the bridge should line up right and the screws will match. I was wondering about order time when ording from Glendale. How long did it take for you guys to get your saddles.

I'm thinking about ording a regular 3 barrel brass set from MF when I order the bridge plate. I can use those until the Glendale saddles come in.

thanks

HW

I've now bought 3 sets of Glendales and had them in a few days each time.
