NAMM Esquire?

I remember a few years ago, Fender created quite a buzz at the NAMM show (and on the TDPRI) when they featured about 20 Custom Shop Esquires at their booth. This popped up on eBay today, and it sure looks like one of those guitars. The price is fairly attractive, but the seller has pretty weak feedback. Central Texas is a little far from Norwich to do a local pickup, but some of you Northeasterners might be interested.

Ebay LINK that was too looooooooong and stretching the page width, now mysteriously shortened somehow by Unseen Forces...

Everything looks right to me.

Those came in a flight case with a real fancy gig bag which all looks like the right stuff.

well...

....at the last NAMM show they had a rainbow of Teles there too. Seems like that is a thing they do every year. I'm getting a jones to see what the next NAMM show will exhibit. I sure hope they come out with a truly "new" guitar and not just something ridiculous like a Kenny Chesney Signature Tele complete with "hidden" manicuring tool compartment to hide your nail polish, wipes, and files or Eric Johnson Voodoo guitar Mojo cable that is made from copper drawn from a "remote" sacred mine in New Mexico, insulated with a high-thread count hemp and beautifully finished in a vintage Bullseye Orange shellac for true tone.

...hey..it could happen.

It may not have been the Namm one as dealers ordered identical models there when these pic'd above all sold. There's been a number of the original ones for sale on ebay in the past few years, even the one that was the cover star on the front of GP mag in 2002.Most fetched under $2k.This one had been BIN'd already.
