Soooo fine, and so much variety. "Ruby Are You Mad at Your Man" and "LaGrange" on the same recording.

Met him at a small dive 5-6 yrs ago after reading about him in 1989. Before that, a fellow I knew at the old factory I worked at in IN kept telling about his cousin......yes, it was SA!
Best Tele player I have witnessed.
Yes, it isn't a contest....but-

Nice guy.
I then went from country-trad jazz pick and all fingers to thumbpick and ALL fingers after seeing him.
Have his video (actually two Hot Licks copies!!!- I rarely play) ---the booklet I blew up on the xerox, and go to it for challenging fun at times.
His style has opened up alot for my playing.

I have the hotlicks video of Scotty which is awsome but i also have a Rare Video of him setting around with his friends and just jaming, i didnt know the video exist, its a a lot older than the Hotlicks and it will blow your mind, its called "Sotty Anderson And Friends" does anyone else have that or heard of it?, he is the fastest player on the planet as far as i seen, you want learn anything from his videos but heck of a lot of fun to watch, if you could learn a lick you probanely couldnt get it up to speed so more just a vdeo to watch i guess.

Have not heard of 'SA and Friends'---sounds great!

seeing him play when I did, was an intimate setting.
Just unbelievable.
Perfect line executioner!

BTW----his cousin I knew, well his dad had a 54' Strat- original, he had a vintage dealer handle the selling and I think I heard GE Smith bought it.
