How bout this 70s Tele?
Is this the real deal? Something about the body seems "non-70s" to me, dunno why it seems that way. The neck looks too new to me--isn't the headstock usually a lot darker than the rest of the neck?

'73 tele
Looks OK to me. I have two '73 teles, one is practically identical to this one. The headstocks don't always tint more than the rest of the neck (one of mine has and one hasn't and they are both genuine, the non tinted one has the common 'Torres' stamp)
What I would say is that he's asking a lot of cash to have given so few and so awful photos (i.e. why bother to tell us there are no routes under the guard, just take a damn picture of the guitar with the guard off!). I would not touch it before seeing high quality closeups and some of the insides, but it certainly looks OK. Plus it has the notch, thus placing it in the correct time frame. B*ll*cks now I want it!!
