ok, HOW BOUT:

Column A: Country
B: Blues
C: Classic Rock
D: Jazz Standards
and then people can sign up under the column they want to play on.
Best laid plans... it always works out in the end.......
perhaps if we could get a solid committment of funds donations, we should opt for two rooms.....one for endless jamming, and one for libations and gear comparisons........
show of hands??? two rooms perhaps????

Please read the "Two Rooms" Thread

and respond with your ideas, puh-leeze.

Remember, proper prior planning prevents p!$$ poor production and promotes productive picking! :D

Sure Leo! Aside form my Rock Tele, I'm bringing this modded out Squier 51. The body, bridge and control plate are all that'sleft from stock. A little something for everyone in it.

You guys DO understand....

that any guitar with two or more bouts, or a pointy headstock, or both, will require a third room, right?
Sure, bring your str*ts.....but remember, it's a slippery slope once those Lesters and BC Rich's start emerging!

all non approved 6 string variety out of the ordinary guitars must pass through Twangmeister's hands for sactioning. Guess I'll have to leave the Ranger at home this time....."But it has a Tele bridge pickup Sir"!

Would you believe.....

anything that twangs, chief???

Alas, the Rev is but a happy memory....the Gretsch needs new strings.....but at least the sparkle is still sparkly....for the moment, anyway. :D

G'head, bring your hybrid whatever overbuilt thingee...definitely bring the art piece, Larry. Keeping peace in the family is more important than Telecaster political correctness.

Brownies? Hmmmmmmm......"Honey....Oh, Hooooneeeey...."

How about an attendance update?

I'm in, and emailing with Miles/Tele295 re Gatton tunes. Will also bring a Jerry Jones E-E baritone for faux-bass.

How many out-of-towners coming?

Any steel players?

An update re how the sign-in-up system will work?

Hamel pickup question..

Since these are a common subject of discussion here, I'd be curious to know if anyone will have a guitar with these pickups. It might be a good opportunity for a brief side by side sound test, maybe in the 2d room. Same player-amp with any of the hard to find pickups, i.e. Hamels, Lollars, Stuarts, etc.

Rick - I didn't see that email. Do you have the newer one? I don't have the webtv addy. It's the same name @sbcglobal.net

Cool about the Jerry Jones. I'm bringing the Fender Bass VI at Leo's request, so people can A/B. I'm probably in the Dano/JJ camp myself.

In the spirit of being inclusive-

I think we need to consider the following:

Room A: 5:59 to 6:00 Modeler VS Tube amp Showdown.
Room B: 3:59 to 4:00 PRS/Gibson, Which is better?

James has the timing right...

but we can do the modelling amp/PRS shootout in the hallway. Unless, of course, some one brings one of those old PRS SS amps.

Miles....I meant the PM's. By the way, do you have any DG charts? Do we need them?

Larry....a bit over the top in the scheduling department, eh?
What about leaving 30 minutes for various versions of Whipping Post and Sweet Home Alabama? Or should that be in the hallway?

As a Florida native, and UF grad,

I'll be happy if I never hear FB or SHA ever again. I'm just throwing out ideas.
