Can anyone give me any more info from these pics?
Hey found this ad and was wondering if you can shed any light on it:
"Nice little project. Only needs a plate & 4 screws, strings and a player a few other non=essential things ,like a spring, knob, switch handle. Has a "Fender" bridge and other Fender parts maybe. $100." ![]() ![]() I e-mailed the seller and he doesn't seem to know much... Thanks!

input jack and switch level look offshore to me , maybe Squier. Bridge is ashtray, thats good, but do the strings go thru the body? Truss rod pic doesn't look like fender to me.
The intriguing thing is the bridge pickup, som kind of rail, probabl Duncan, but maybe something better?? |

The word is cheap.

The neck "cheap" starts with the truss rod adjustment cavity and then the nut being in front of the fret board and not in a groove as part of it. These are earmarks of the very cheaply made in Japan copies from years ago. I cannot see the tuners but I assume they are also the chincy wons they used on those type of necks.
The jack cup area also reflects a cheap way of doing that aspect of a guitar. It takes no time at all tew slap a plate on and call it good vs doing it the way most Fenners still dew.
That switch shaft stickin up air tells me its a cheap plastic won and that the pots and caps are more than likley the tiny liddo cheap wons also.
That bridge may in fact be a Fenner but the cheap wons I haff seen look for all the werld like a Fenner from this far away.
That lead P/U looks like the cheap Barden(I noe, I noe) copy that many of the cheap copies had.
That pickguard could be a three-ply Fenner but more than likely issa aftermarket or cheap plastic that came with it.
The thicker looking body with the thick looking finish and very rounded edges tell me a plywood body which could be Fenner made in Korea as most of the cheap Fenners inna early 90s were.
Wide 12th fret marker dots with the plastic looking knob tell me cheap also but--------
From this far away that could be a Fenner decal and that string tree position is very close tew the nut and if I could see it in detail it wood prolly be the butterfly style with long legs which iss a nutter earmark of cheap made copies.
At $100 yew mite be gittin yer gettus werth if yew kin keep it in tune.
Close up pixs wood tell much more and after taxes and shippin yew mite be better off a buyin a Squier Affinity.
I could be all wet here but yew axed. (Oh!, did I mint-chun cheap?) 0le FUZZY |

![]() Looks like a standard 6-saddle Fender bridge from here. $15 - $20 on eBay. ![]() Eeeeewwwww! Yep - like Fuzzy said, cheap-and-nasty Chinese/Korean tuners. Free of charge from my bits box if you're that desperate. And the neck? He should be paying YOU to take it away. I think I'd steer WELL clear of this one. It might have been worth $50 just to use for relicing practice or similar. It'll never be a player.
