Gotta have a piece of your knowledge, Again!

Hey All,
I'm sure this has been beat to death, But I'm searching for
my first "Budget" Tele to add to my collection.
Our own Harly-Carly turned me on to a Squire tele at
Chrisguitar.com for less than 200 coconuts.
Now before you get carried away read on, This is an older
MIM tele, on the headstock it says Fender Telecaster & made in mexico with squire in smalller lettering after that.
Also he has one that is MIM but is labled like a typical Squire
I've been told that these earlier Squires are better than the
MIK & MII Teles, What's your thoughts.
Thanks as always

If you're talking about the best budget Tele .......... that ship has sailed. It was the Nelsonic TLC. No longer available

I have a '98 MIM Squier Tele and it totally rocks. Better IMHO than my '04 MIM Standard Tele. I got it for used for $175 including a Duncan '52 in the bridge. Sweet.

I haven't played one myself but I hear nothing but good comments about those MIM Squiers. If there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it I say go for it.

I just bought one....

Big Squier, little Fender MIM ....it's a wonderfully built guitar, and I'm planning on keepin it....I got it for $120 out the door, and it may be the best "deal" I've ever gotten on a guitar (all things being equal). I do also have a MIM tele, and they are very close in the playability and feel dept.
