Blackguard? How 'bout redguard?

Just sharing--I realize this isn't everyone's cup of tea. It's a 2000 AmSe ash Tele and I got a new guard for it. I previously had a Duncan '59 in it, but wanted to go back to single coils after getting a new Lester last month. It currently has a Fender Custom Shop Texas Tele in the neck and a Duncan Vintage Stack in the bridge. I have a set of Fralin Blues on order for my alder Tele, at which point I can let the C/S TT bridge pickup join in. (Although... shhhh, I must admit, the Duncan STK-3b sounds really great.)

You're right - not my cup of tea.
But those control knobs are great.

I think this one would look super tasty if the pickguard had the
same colour (dark cream) as the tops of the control knobs.

Yeah I dig! Looks like it would be suited to whatever style of music you play!

Thanks all. It does suit my style pretty well.

When I bought it used it originally had a P-90 in it:

And when I ordered the knobs at that point, and they matched the P90 color perfectly. However, in person, they still provide a really nice offset to the red of the guard.

Played it at last night's gig, and it sounds pretty great. I'm already a huge fan of the C/S TT pickups, but that Duncan STK-3b really had me smiling all night.

It's a good looker. I like the red on a black body as well.
