Redd & Paisley on stage!
For those of you not lucky enough to walk into the right dive bar last night, I'm sorry to say you missed out on the "Tele Gun Fight at Ego's Corral"!! Brad Paisley, who was in Austin with his wife, showed up, he and Redd swapped tricks for an hour.
I have pictures to post as well. [/b]

I have to say that I've seen Redd play AT LEAST 2 times a week for the last few years, and this was the FIRST time I have really seen him enjoy playing with another guitar player on stage. Redd was having a blast, and the two of them playing "Truck Driving Man"

And I got to see him! I've been in Austin since Wed, and was able to talk a couple of my peers into making the trek to the Mean Eyed Cat tonite (Fri) to see Heybale! We got there a bit early, and me bein me, went over and hollered "Redd!"....he came over, we spoke a bit, and he graciously allowed a buddy to snap a picture of us with his cell phone (A fella came out by us, and he said "Redd, is he pullin a knife on ya?"....to which Redd replies...."Naw....he pulled a PHONE!"....anyhow, Redd and the band sounded great (he was playing the Sunburst through the Session), and I had a great time. I've had a good guitar few days in Austin! |

I'm long gone and home!!
I guess I need to just pack up and move! Everytime I go to Austin (4-5 times a year), I always think "I could live here"....which is sayin something for Austin, 'cause I'm VERY fond of where we live now (been here for 20 years). I will make sure the next time I'm in town to do a better job of planning my business!
