Thoughts on the quality of the American Deluxe bridge?
What are your thoughts on the quality of the American Deluxe Ash Telecaster bridge? the "American Tele bridge with 6 Chromed Brass Saddles"
At first I thought of switching out this bridge for a Callaham 3 compensated brass saddle bridge, as that particular bridge dramatically improved the tone on my American Series Tele.... however this bridge (or at least the saddles, the bridge itself might be the same) seems better than the American Series... I'm not sure if this time around it would dramatically improve the tone as much as just make it different Your thoughts would be much appreciated. Twang isn't a factor for me, I'm a blues player I am going to switch out these pickups for Lollars though. Am I correct that the body is already pre-routed for a neck humbucker? Mine is an American Deluxe Ash, great guitar. Lightweight body, and a truely fantastic "U shaped", 9.5 inch radius neck. Great round full acoustic tone |

I mainly use the bridge pickup and the bridge and neck combined with the S-1 switch on, and the sound is very good for the kind of stuff I do (blues rock). Personally I won't change a thing on this guitar until I've played it for some time. The bridge looks very good, as is the rest of the guitar, pure quality. |

Don't change it
My deluxe ash USA Tele (Tealgreen/maple neck) is used on bigger stages, so I don't need the hum or twang like mine 52reiss. becaus it get lost on PA.
I own this guitar for 3 years, so no S-2, but modified it with 4-way switch. For more SC/opener sounds I suggest, turn the volume pot 'round 8, not open!! Let the amp work for blues. |

Well, instead of sitting around and wondering about it, I decided to try the Callaham bridge on my American Deluxe and figured I could always change it back if I didn't like it... sure enough the Callaham bridge has improved the guitar that much more, with an even richer tone with more sustain
