Can you help me find info on this tele?

Hi all,

I just bought this tele (cheapish). It appears to be a flamed maple top, ash body, maple neck played and sounded better than the current crop of new fenders I played locally. But its providence is a complete mystery.

It was represented to me as made in the US in the 80s. Has Real Guitars on the headstock but definitely isn't from realguitars.de but not sure why someone would build a fake Real Guitars as it took me some digging from Australia to find the company.

I'm thinking it's a parts-caster. Anyone have any insight that might help me find out the story of this guitar?

Cheers

Dave

Funny but I had a similar tele deal someone I know asked me to buy his tele, I got a little nervous when I didn't see the fender logo, it was a Lee Hooker and it turned out to be a deal

It plays and sounds great imo much better than the current production run models.*Not worried about the instrument but would love to know where it came from.
