Bridge pup

Does anyone know why there's a little hole (or holes) in the bridge pup of a Tele?

A hole down through the center? It is for holding the pickup to a spindle for winding the coil during manufacture (or a rewind).

for the screws of the plate under the pickup? it is for a humbucker, as far as i know
