Thanks for the comments. Yes, that is my Dad. He is doing well at the age of 76.
As I mentioned in another post, I'm going to design and build my own a$$kicking machine and stand in front of it for a while. I didn't know enough back then to determine if it was a good instrument or not. I was an electronics nut at an even earlier age, so I remember how it was wired. Any other details are fuzzy. I played a lot of gigs with it. I have never seen an original in white, other than mine. ...and yes...I did have hair back then.

Your white Tele Deluxe in the '76 pic is EXACTLY the guitar I would love to have. I have a black Fender '72 Tele Custom RI, a white Fender Standard Tele, a blonde Fender Tele Special (w/neck humbucker), a Squier Tele Custom and a Squier Standard Tele, and I love to round that out with a Fender Tele Deluxe. I'll probably end up with a black one, but the white one you had was awesome! I have a Fender Strat in that color, and I love it. If I had the money, I guess I could have the Fender Custom Shop build me one like the one you had, but... Anyway, that's one of the coolest Teles I have ever seen!

zane, thanks.
Heather, The white stikes your fancy huh? I think it would be rare to find one. Here is a I had a guy hit me up to make a custom color deluxe. I could make one from Warmoth parts easy enough. The total cost was too much for him. I think he went with a Squier (Custom) and lived with the black color.
