No longer a outsider-Classic 50's here Wednesday

My Classic 50's tele is due to arrive Wednesday after many years of being "teleless". I had a MIJ 62 reissue years back, but sold it(yes, I regret that move). Anyway I'm back in the fold and from the research I've done on the board, the new tele should treat me well and be a good brother to my '57 reissue strat.

Congratulations! I have a white-blonde 50's classic and it is a great tele. As soon as I see another used one I will buy another. They are one of the best deals going.

You're gonna love that 50s classic, brewboy. I got a white one too and put a black RI guard on it and put in a set of nocasters. Love it. The stock pups are tolerable but you may want better on down the road.
What color did you decide on?

Yep, I'm going with the white also. Just curious...I'm guessing these 50's classics are "loose" replicas of teles in the 50's. Is there a year these are based on? Do they have cloth wire, etc.? I know the finish is poly and not nitro.

These are a mixture of features from the 50's.

Polyester body which can have a thick finish polyurethane neck which isnt as thick.

The pickups are made with plastic bobbins and plastic wire too not very accurate neck pickup sounds great bridge can sound a little thin and harsh to some people.

Still the best bargin in the whole Fender lineup for Teles.

Congratulations !

I got one too and I love it.

Swapped the bridge pup for a S.D vintage '54 and I love it even more.
