Railroad Yapper Blues

I commute a few days a week for work to NYC on the Long Island Railroad (LIRR). If I miss my usual train, the next train invariably has this one particular fellow who travels with a companion. Somehow, they always sit in the car I'm in.

From the moment his butt hits the seat, he talks...and talks and talks and talks nonstop until the hour trip ends. He's not loud, his voice isn't unpleasant, but the constant droning makes it hard for those of us trying to sleep to get any.

This happened again on Monday, and the result is my work of art below. Sung to the tune of your basic 145 blues with breaks, much like the Nyquil Blues someone posted here recently.

I’m a yapper baby, and I’ve got a lot to say
I’m a yapper baby, and I’ve got a lot to say
I’m the most fascinating guy I know
You’re gonna hear all about it today

My taxes got abated
My kid just graduated
My car is highly rated
Sent a birthday card belated

Yes I’m a yapper baby and I’ve got a lot to say
My personality’s so sparkling
You’re gonna see it shine today

Got on the train at Copiague
With a friend of mine in tow
Sat down and faced each other
Gonna tell her everything I know

Cause I’m a yapper baby and I’ve got a lot to say
I know so much about so much
That’s why I’ve got so much to say

Train pulls into Penn
Your feeling less upset
But just when you think its over
Have I told you this one yet?

Yes I’m a yapper baby and I’ve got a lot to say
You know I’m an expert in my field
Whatever that might be today

My house just got new siding
Last week went horseback riding
Did you see those two girls fighting
Let me tell ya bout that book I’m writing

Yeah I’m a yapper baby, still got plenty more to say
Why save it for tomorrow
When I’ve got you here today

You don’t need to call me later
Fill you in on the ride home today

You know - I'm reading the lyrics (nice stuff!), and grabbed my tele, and it occured to me - there's a TON of different ways to play this! Augh! I was trying to figure out what chords would go with what lines, and then the syllable count kept changing, and I knew why I wasn't a singer.

But then it occured to me - you can have 10 different guys pick up this song, tell them it's a 145 progression, and you'll get 10 different sounding songs written! So - anyone want to record a version for comparison? :)
