Butterscotch Squire Question

I know it as discussed her before, but I can't seem to find it. What kind of impression do any of you have on the limited butterscotch squire tele's that are around? Are they a good start for a home grown '52 reissue type guitar? I've got a good set of PU'd, snf I would probably get a different neck. How are the bodies, and what kind of wood are they made out of? Thanks!!

i like em as they are. not a 52 reissue, but enough of a cosmetic nod. bodies are alder 1/4 inch thinner than stock tele. shape is also slightly longer, with no neck pocket notch.

stock necks are nice, i see no need to change.
