VA/DC/MD new local guitar tech
Alright, this may belong in the BadDog forum but I wanted to share with as many DC area guitarists as I could so...
Greg Kurczewski has opened Metro Guitar Service in Arlington, VA about two blocks down from where Zavarella's used to be. His prices are very reasonable (check the price list on his site) and his turnaround times are quick. He's a friendly and knowledgeable guy who has been doing this work for over 20 years. Check him out here: www.metroguitar.com Greg did a pickup switch on my Epi ES-295 (the Lollars sound huge) and fixed the bridge. Now it not only sounds better but plays better and intonates all the way up the neck. I'm just so happy that I don't have to drive 40 minutes each way and then overpay my old tech anymore that I had to share *I have no affiliation other than have him work on my guitar* |
