Been Jonesin' for a trans orange ASAT for a while, rosewood neck and perloid 'guard in my vision !!
I'm envious, very cool. What's the neck profile like ? seems the newer ones are a little fatter than the earlier ones.

G&L Necks
Yup, they seem to have shed their pencil-neck philosophy, at least on ASATs. Every new one I've played has a nice medium-full contour.
BTW--Your guitar is gorgeous!!! Just love the transparent orange, very cool, flashy yet organic looking. P.

Everybody knows...
...orange guitars just sound better.
But of course I'm biased.
![]()
Got this NOS '96 at a shop's liquidation sale in '97 for short $, and about two years ago sent it back to the factory to address some odd fretting issues. They made me a new 3-bolt neck (they went to 4-bolts in '97) to my requested specs, under warranty. Now that's what I call service!

nothin' better'n an orange ASAT. Got me one a while back. Quickly became #1 in the rotation.

Too Cool!
Those G&L ASATs are outstanding instruments! I just acquired a Tribute Semi-hollow, and I'm delighted with it. I can't imagine how great the USA made versions are, but I hope to find out one day.
Enjoy! John :D

I like see-thru orange, indeed
I've got a Yamaha tele with a beautiful orange stain top veneer, with a cream binding. So beautiful...
